What is the Sam’s Club Special Area Study?

This project is the continuation, expansion, and update of a study carried out in 2014 and 2015 by the Town of Addison.  Its focus is the appropriate redevelopment and reuse of the commercial properties at the western frontage of Midway Road, between Belt Line and Hornet Road. This study area includes the former Sam’s Club site, which has since been redeveloped to support the Addison Grove neighborhood. During its March 23 Work Session, Council discussed the Sam's Club Special Area Study that was initiated in 2014.

This study retained the Sam’s Club name in order to maintain a connection to the past work that was performed. As this project advances, it is anticipated that it will be rebranded to reflect the community’s vision for this area.
